Admitted school shooter's half-brother dies

GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Deputies in Geauga County say the half-brother of admitted Chardon High School shooter TJ Lane has died.

20-year-old Adam Nolan was taken by EMS from a home in Burton Township to Geauga Hospital on Saturday, where he was pronounced dead.

The Geauga County Coroner will now determine a cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.

TJ Lane is scheduled to go on trial on January 14th. He has admitted to the February 27 shooting at Chardon High School, but offered no motive. 17-year-old Russell King, Jr., 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin were killed. 17-year-old Nick Walczak remains paralyzed from the waist down. 18-year-old Joy Rickers and a 6th, unidentified victim were treated and released from the hospital.

Lane's attorney has entered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea on his behalf.
