Akron's soccer team to host Creighton Sunday in NCAA TournamentThe University of Akron Men's Soccer team advanced to the NCAA's Round of 16 for the fifth consecutive season with a 2-1 victory over Michigan on Sunday night.
The fifth-seeded Zips will host Creighton on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium - Cub Cadet Field.
Akron played the Blue Jays to a 1-1 draw during the regular season
Creighton defeated Washington, 4-2, in its second-round match this weekend.
The Zips will not host another round of the NCAA Tournament unless fourth-seeded Connecticut falls to New Mexico on Sunday.
