CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Delhi Township woman will avoid jail time for a deadly hit and run crash on I-75 last June.

Brittany Ison pleaded guilty in August to hitting Jason Claypool, 38, of Burlington on I-75, then leaving the scene. Ison rear-ended the motorcycle driven by Claypool near the I-74 exit. He died at University Hospital from his injuries.

Ison was arrested later that night and charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident. Ison's attorney claims she initially stopped after the accident, but got scared and continued driving to work.

Her sentencing was pushed back two weeks ago so Judge Ralph Winkler could review letters from Claypool's family before handing down Ison's sentence.

The judge sentenced her to four years probation, two years house arrest and she must keep a job.
