CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The 12-year-old girl burned by a downed power line earlier this month is showing a slight improvement.

Hospital officials tell 19 Action News that Gasia Thomas remains in critical condition, but she is now listed as critical but stable.

The accident happened while Thomas was walking home from school in the area of East 130th and Iroquois on the Cleveland and East Cleveland border.

Thomas went into electrical cardiac arrest.  East Cleveland Fire was the first on scene with advanced life-saving equipment and were able to shock the girl and bring her pulse back.
