Fugitive sex offender arrested in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Monday night, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Albert Andre Davis on the 1500 Block on Ansel Road.

Davis was convicted of First Degree Child Molestation in the state of Washington in September of 1995 and ordered to register as a convicted sex offender for life.  U.S. Marshals received information that Davis was living unregistered in the Cleveland area since October of 2011. 

The U.S. Marshals coordinated with the United States Attorney's Office to indict Davis under the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.

If convicted, Davis could face up to 10 years in federal prison.
