The North Ridgeville Police Chief's wife was busted for shoplifting.

It happened on Monday around noon at the Target in Avon.

41-year-old Elaine Freeman was busted for swiping health and beauty items by Target employees.

Freeman had the couple's two-year-old son with her at the time of her alleged crime.
