LINNDALE, OH (WOIO) -

Robert Owens used the Hope Baptist Church in Linndale as his disgusting hunting ground.

"He was known as the candy man there," explains Sergeant Tim Franczak with the Linndale Police.  "He would pass out candy, it was a common ritual that he would pass out candy to the kids and then ask for a hug."

In 2008 Owens was charged and plead guilty to gross sexual imposition.  He victimized four children in the church, ages five to nine and he was sentenced to four years in prison.

Owens release date is this Saturday, that was until two new victims came forward.

"Actually this was a mother that came across a journal of the children, and after weeks of talking to them they came forward.  And now that they're older too they understand it a little bit more and were able to be more forth coming to their mother," says Franczak.

The new victims are sisters and were 9 and 11 at the time of the alleged sexual assaults back in 2008.

So just days before Owens was to be released, he was indicted on four new counts of gross sexual imposition and kidnapping for keeping one of the girls against her will.

"This was going to come out at some point. You can't hide evil forever. Evil is going to come to the surface," says Franczak.
