Akron teens busted stealing electronics from school

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police say around 9:40am Thanksgiving morning, three teenagers used a brick and broke out a rear window of Roswell Kent Middle School, located at 1445 Hammel Street, then entered the building.

The suspects broke out the fire extinguishers and used them to gain entry into a classroom on the second floor. The suspects took eleven IPads and four HP laptop computers. The suspects then sprayed the classroom with the fire extinguisher before fleeing the building towards the Wilbeth/Arlington Homes.

Responding officers and detectives located the suspects in the 900 block of Barbara Avenue.

Three boys, a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old, were charged with breaking and entering.

They were placed in the custody of the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

The stolen IPads and laptop computers were returned to the school.
