OAKWOOD VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) -
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy today to determine how little Emilliano Terry died.
The three-year-old's body was found in a trash bag late Monday afternoon, bringing to an end an emotional search for the young boy.
Police say they became suspicious after the boy's mother, Camilia Terry, started changing her story.
While canvassing for the boy, officers observed a Waste Management truck in the area of the boy's home. Police contacted the company and asked them to hold the truck so they could search.
Around 4 p.m., the boy's body was found inside multiple bags inside that truck at the facility in Oakwood Village.
Terry is in police custody, police do not believe anyone else had anything to do with the boy's death at this time. Her two other children are in the custody of Children and Family Services.
Emilliano's mother reported that the boy was taken while they were at Kossuth Park Sunday, prompting police to issue a missing child alert.
A rally and vigil will be held Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate little Emilliano's life at Kossuth Park at East 121 and Shaker Blvd. in Cleveland.
