Two shot on RTA bus, gunman sought

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Two men shot on an RTA bus have been treated and released from Metro.

The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. Monday in the area of Ashbury Avenue and East 105th in Cleveland.

Police say 21-year-old Dion Hamm of Cleveland got on the bus at East 99th and St. Clair. He was sitting in the back of the bus on the passenger side when he heard gun shots and noticed he was shot in the left thigh.

21-year-old Shawn Patterson was also shot. After being shot, he yelled at the bus driver to stop the bus and he ran off. He was taken by private transport to the hospital for a gun shot to the right thigh.

49-year-old Tyrone Calloway heard the gunshots and dragged his girlfriend to the floor of the bus. He suffered a leg injury when he was trampled by other passengers getting off the bus. He also had an asthma/anxiety attack.

There are no arrests at this time.
