Cleveland (WOIO) - In what will certainly be the most controversial and debated Hall of Fame ballot in Major League Baseball history, the names Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa top the list of 37 players, three men who put up legendary numbers, but cannot escape the steroid allegations.
If Mark McGwire's candidacy is any indication, the Big Three are looking at a long wait. McGwire hasn't come close to making the 75% needed for induction in five years on the ballot.
Bonds is the all-time home run champ with 762, Clemens won 7 Cy Young Awards, and Sosa belted 609 home runs, but all are haunted by the public perception that they used steroids or H-G-H.
