BRUNSWICK, OH (WOIO) -

Brunswick Police have confirmed that a 30 hour standoff has ended with one person dead.

The unidentified male suspect was reported to have fatal gunshot wounds.  The female hostage was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Friday, November 30th at approximately 1:37 p.m. the Brunswick Police Department received a call regarding a domestic dispute on Jefferson Ave.  After the police arrived at the scene to find the front door damaged and barricaded, a perimeter was then set up.

Officers heard a man and woman arguing inside.

At 2:34 p.m., the Chief of Police activated SWAT and negotiations have been ongoing since that time yesterday and ended today.
