Valuable coins stolen from Akron home

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police in Akron are investigating after valuable coins were stolen from a home on 5th Avenue.

The victim tells police the coins were in a small safe in their bedroom.

The burglary happened sometime between September 7 and October 27, when the victim noticed the coins were gone.

Stolen items include four pairs of gold earrings, 25 Susan B. Anthony gold coins, 44 presidential gold dollar coins and a Twin Tower coin.
