SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -
A 48-year-old man arrested for the rape of a girl in Springfield Township.
On November 28, the victim, a 12-year-old child, called 911 after waking up naked and feeling as though she had been drugged. She continued to state that the suspect may have taken pictures of the assault with his cell phone and that the suspect was a family friend that was staying with them.
Officers and Detectives responded and found evidence that corroborated the young victim's claims.
Corey A. Welch was arrested and charged with rape. Other charges may be pending.
