Police investigating after an employee of Advanced America at 1684 West Market Street was robbed in the parking lot.

The robbery happened around noon on Monday. The victim tells Akron police she was walking to her car with the bank deposit when the suspect confronted her.

The suspect grabbed the bank deposit bag containing an unreported amount of cash. After a brief struggle over the deposit bag, the suspect fled with the bank bag through the parking lot and was last seen running across the street.

The employee was not injured.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect was last seen getting into a four-door, silver car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, driven by a black female.
