Police say a father and son are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Hamilton.
Hamilton Police and Fire Units responded to 62 Chamberlain Drive around 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of Robert Johnson, 58, and Scott Johnson, 33, both of whom died from apparent gunshot wounds. Early indications are that Robert Johnson killed his son, then turned the gun on himself.
Scott Johnson's girlfriend called 911 and told the dispatchers she was on the phone with her boyfriend when she heard gunshots.
Robert Johnson's brother also called 911 and told dispatchers that his brother had shot himself.
Police say they had three previous calls to the address, in June 2012, 2001 and 1999, none of which were domestic-related.
