
The Golden Globe nominations are out. Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" leads the pack with 7 Golden Globe nominations including Best Drama, Best Director, Best Actress Sally Field and Best Actor, Daniel Day Lewis.
The Iran-hostage crisis thriller "Argo," and Quentin Tarrentino's "Django Unchained" tied for second place with five nominations each including Best Drama.
Rounding out the Best Drama category are the Osama bin Laden manhunt thriller "Zero Dark Thirty", and the shipwreck saga, "Life of Pi"
Les Miserables leads the Best Musical or Comedy category with 3 big nominations including Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway, and Best Actor Hugh Jackman.
Jackman's fellow Australians, Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman also picked up prominent nominations.
Kidman was nominated for best supporting actress in "The Paperboy", and also her lead role in the HBO movie, "hemmingway and Gellhorn."
Watts received a Best Actress nod for her performance in "The Impossible", the harrowing drama about the 2004 tsunami that hit Thailand.
Watts is up against Jessica Chastain in "Zero Dark Thirty," Marion Cotillard in "Rust and Bone,"
Helen Mirren in "Hitchcock" and Rachel Weisz in "The Deep Blue Sea."
The Best Actor, Drama category also features some big names. In addition to Daniel Day Lewis in Lincoln, the nominees are Richard Gere in "Arbitrage," John Hawkes in "The Sessions," Joaquin Phoenix in "The Master," and Denzel Washington in "Flight."
The Golden Globes will be handed out on January 13th.
