CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened on the east side Thursday evening on E. 76 Street near St. Clair Ave.

When Cleveland Police arrived on scene they located at 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. 

EMS transported the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.

The preliminary investigation shows that the victim was in the 900 block of E. 76th Street when a silver auto drove down the street and fired several shots hitting the victim in the head.

After shooting the victim the silver auto fled the scene.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Fifth District Detective Bureau at 216-623-55518.
