Akron police find two men shot in car, one dead

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

An Akron shooting left one man dead and sent another to the hospital in Wednesday night.

According to detectives, police responded to calls of shots fired in 400 block Bell Street just after 11 p.m.

Officers discovered two men shot inside a car. The driver, Reggie Woodall, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been shot several times.

Woodall's passenger, whose name has not been released, was sent to an area hospital for treatment. Police say Woodall's injuries are serious, but he's expected to survive.

Akron police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
