CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

County residents should prepare now for a significant winter storm that is expected to bring as much as 6-to-10 inches of new snow to the area through Thursday.

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald encourages all county residents to stay informed and be prepared.

Ensuring your vehicles are fueled up, your emergency supply kits are stocked, loose debris in yards are picked up and pets and other animals are brought in from the cold will go a long way.

Falling snow combined with gusting winds will reduce visibility to near zero at times creating hazardous conditions.

Use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.
