Cities issue snow parking bans

Wednesday's winter storm has prompted the following cities to issue parking bans:

  • CLEVELAND - The City of Cleveland has declared a snow emergency parking ban for ALL city streets effective Wednesday, December 26, until further notice. Anyone who fails to comply will be ticketed and towed.
  • AKRON - The City of Akron has issued a Snow Emergency Parking Ban for ALL CITY STREETS effective immediately. The ban is in effect until Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 6:00 a.m.
  • CITY OF LORAIN - Snow parking ban until further notice.
  • BEACHWOOD - Parking ban in effect until further notice.
  • BROADVIEW HEIGHTS - Parking ban in effect until noon Thursday.
  • BRUNSWICK HILLS TOWNSHIP- Brunswick Hills Township Board of Trustees has activated a snow emergency as outlined in ORC 505.17 § (B) (1) - (B) (2); effective WEDNESDAY December 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM through THURSDAY December 27, 2012 2:00 PM.
  • CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP- No parking snow ban for the next 24 hours.
  • CITY OF GREEN- A parking ban has been issued for the City of Green in Summit County until Friday at 8 a.m.
  • CUYAHOGA FALLS - Citywide parking ban in effect until 6:00 a.m. Friday, December 28.
  • HUDSON - The City of Hudson has issued an emergency snow parking ban through 12:00 noon Thursday, December 27. Vehicles are prohibited from parking on the streets until the ban has been lifted. This does not include the marked diagonal or parallel parking spaces in front of the Main Street stores, on E. Main Street, or diagonal or parallel parking spaces in the downtown area or in First & Main.
  • LAKEWOOD - On streets that are posted Emergency Snow Ban streets, whenever there is snow fall of four (4) inches or more within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the emergency snow ban takes effect.  The snow ban restrictions on parking take effect without any requirement of an announcement by the City of Lakewood.   In the event of a snow fall of four inches or more, parking is not permitted on streets posted as emergency snow ban streets.  Motorists should always consult the posted signs, and be advised that in the event of a snow fall of four inches or more, the emergency snow parking bans will be enforced. 
  • MOGADORE- There is a "no parking" snow ban in effect for the Village of Mogadore until further notice.
  • NORTH OLMSTED- Snow ban issued until further notice.
  • PARMA - The Snow Emergency Parking Ban for streets in Parma will be in effect at 4 p.m. Wednesday until further notice.  This is a necessary measure to enable plow crews to clear the streets and maintain traffic.
  • PARMA HEIGHTS- The Snow Parking Ban for streets in the City of Parma Heights will be in effect commencing at 2:00 P.M. today (December 26, 201) and will remain in effect until further notice.
  • RICHMOND HEIGHTS- Snow ban issued until further notice.
  • SEVEN HILLS - Parking ban in effect at noon until further notice.
