ORANGE VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) -
Police have now id'd the 59-year-old man accused of shooting and robbing a female hotel guest outside the Courtyard Marriott Thursday.
It happened around 8:20 a.m. at 3695 Orange Place.
Orange Police Officers say the 50-year-old victim was getting into her car, when she was approached by David Fields of Cleveland. She had just finished breakfast at the Marriott when she was attacked in the parking lot.
Fields is currently on parole after serving 30 years in prison for aggravated murder.
Fields allegedly began shooting at her with what police believe could have been either a BB gun or an air gun.
Fields then grabbed her purse and ran away on foot.
Orange Police Officers found Fields hiding nearby a short time later.
Fields will be charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery among a few other charges.
The woman was flown to Metro with non life-threatening injuries.
