CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

In an effort to prevent drunk driving and get people home safely, MADD and AAA are teaming up to offer free cab rides to impaired party-goers.

Care Cab will be available 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 through midnight on Tuesday, Jan 1, providing 30 hours of free service.  The cab ride by Towne Taxi is free for callers, 21 years old and over, in need of safe transportation from a public establishment to a private residence within the I-275 loop.

Call 513-768-FREE (513-768-3733) to request service.  The phone line will be active beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Care Cab, a joint effort between MADD and AAA, has provided more than 2,000 rides and 5,200 passengers.  Hamilton County Safe Communities is also a proud partner of the program.
