CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Michael P. Young, 40, of North Olmsted, has been sentenced to 21 years and 11 months in prison for creating and sharing child pornography.

He will be classified a Tier II Sexual Offender upon his release from prison. This case was investigated by The Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force

Young made child pornography available for sharing from his computer at his residence. He also set up a hidden camera in the bathroom of his residence and secretly recorded a 17-year-old juvenile victim while she was nude.

On June 8, members of the Ohio ICAC Task Force including officers from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office, North Olmsted Police Department, and the Cleveland MetroParks Rangers executed a search warrant at Young's residence.

Officers seized two desktop computers, several cameras, seven VHS tapes, eleven CD's, a memory card, a thumb drive, and an external hard drive. The Ohio ICAC forensic investigators analyzed Young's computer and discovered hundreds of photographs and videos of child pornography saved to various media storage devices as early as 2001.

On November 30, Young plead guilty to 42 counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, four counts of Minor in Nude Material or Performance, four counts of Voyeurism and one count of Possessing Criminal Tools which also include forfeiture specifications.

Assistant County Prosecutor John C. Hanley prosecuted this case.
