(CNN) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was admitted to a New York hospital Sunday after doctors discovered a blood clot during a follow-up exam, according to her spokesman.
She was given anti-coagulants and doctors are keeping her hospitalized in order to monitor the medication.
Clinton suffered a concussion several weeks ago after fainting while recovering from a stomach virus.
She was scheduled to return to work this week.
