CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald and Sheriff Bob Reid will swear in 7 new deputies on Wednesday.

They join 5 deputies already sworn in earlier this year.

Cuyahoga County is adding new deputies to meet the increased need for law enforcement in the 59 municipalities located in Cuyahoga County, to bolster security in the courts, the transportation of inmates and, the increased need to assist our local, state and federal law enforcement partners.

An additional 20 deputies are scheduled to be added in 2013.
