2 men shot on Cleveland's east side

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Police Officers looking for the suspect who shot 2 men on the city's east side.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday at the Marathon Gas Station at E. 71st and Harvard. Officers were called to the area for a report of shots fired. When Officers arrived, they found the 2 victims.

Officers say a crowd of people was fighting outside the gas station, when the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into the crowd, hitting the victims. Both victims tell police they were not involved in the altercation.

EMS brought the men victims to MetroHealth Medical Center, where they are being treated for their injuries.

Brandon Williams of Cleveland, 20, was shot in the back and Shaquille Authur of Cleveland, 18, was shot in the shoulder.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Fourth District Detective Bureau at 216.623.5418.
