E. 9th St. reopens after water main break

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

E. 9th St. between Superior and St. Clair has been reopened after a water main break closed lanes earlier Thursday evening.

The Cleveland Water Dept. was on scene of the break and shut off the water while crews searched for the source of the break.

A water dept. spokesperson says this was a 6-inch domestic water line and the source of the break is on the property side of the IMG building.  The water dept. says the property owner will work on fixing the break.

The road was salted to help prevent ice from forming in the area after the break.

The IMG building was evacuated for a period of time

There is no estimated time of repair right now.
