LORDSTOWN, OH (WOIO) -

Officials are investigating a fire at the General Motors plant in Lordstown.

Crews responded to the reported fire just before 9pm Friday night.

There was not a lot of people in the plant because it is shut down for the holiday break, but 19 Action News was told that there were subcontractors at the plant switching over a line for a new vehicle.

According to Lordstown 911 several people were taken to a local hospital.

No further details were available Friday night.
