Report: Omri Casspi requests trade from CavaliersCavaliers forward Omri Casspi has requested a trade from the Cavaliers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Casspi has played only one minute since December 11. So far on the season, the NBA's first Israeli-born player is averaging 4.9 points a game this season.
The Cavaliers acquired Casspi and a first round pick in a trade with the Sacramento Kings in 2011 for J.J. Hickson.
NBA rules state if a player publicly demands a trade he can be fined. While both sides remain silent on the possible trade, Wojnarowski reports Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant has been trying to trade Casspi.
