HOLMES COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

An arrest has been made after a threat at West Holmes Middle School in Millersburg on Monday afternoon.

Deputies met with Principal Jeff Woods, who stated he received a complaint that a student threatened to bring a firearm to school and cause harm to others and himself. The threat was made on the school bus while the children were en route to their homes.

Deputies then interviewed several witnesses to the threats.

At 6:30 p.m., deputies arrested a male juvenile at his home without incident. The name of the juvenile is being withheld pending charges in the Holmes County Juvenile Court. Deputies will seek charges from the Holmes County Prosecutor for Inducing Panic.

School administrators will have counselors at the school Tuesday for those who are in need of those services.
