CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the store owner shot and killed after trying to stop a robbery at his store.

Abou Kane was shot in the chest at Well's Fashions Clothing on Kinsman Avenue just before 8 p.m. Friday night.

Cleveland Police say two suspects attempted to rob the store.  As the suspects were fleeing, Kane chased them. While he was chasing them, one of the suspects fired a shot. EMS transported Kane to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later died.
