The Browns interviewed two more candidates on Wednesday for their head coaching job.

The team talked with Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, according to reports.

Zimmer has interviewed for other head coaching jobs in the past, but was never given a job. Described as a straight-shooter, he coached the Bengals to the sixth-best defense in 2012.  Fox Sports Jay Glazer first reported Zimmer was being interviewed by the Browns.

As for Chudzinski, he's been a coach with the Browns twice in his career.  In 2004, he was the Browns tight ends coach.  The next two seasons he was the Chargers tight ends coach.  He came back to Cleveland in 2007 as the team's offensive coordinator under Romeo Crennel.

Chudzinski helped the Panthers offense thrive.  In 2011, the Panthers were fifth in the NFL in scoring and in 2012 they had the 12th best offense.

In other coaching news, it's believed the Browns were one of the teams to contact Bill Cowher a source told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Cowher told Newsday he would like to return to coaching in the future, but not right now.
