Cleveland (WOIO) - The Cavaliers woke up on Wednesday to devastating news, learning that Andy Varejao will miss the next two months following knee surgery on Thursday, but ended the day with an impressive win, as Kyrie Irving's game-high 33 points were more than enough to stun the Atlanta Hawks, 99-83 at the "Q".
Irving threw down 18 in the third quarter alone, as the Cavs took control of the game. Alonzo Gee added 15, while Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller each scored 11, as the Cavaliers earned their 9th win of the season.
Josh Smith led the Hawks with 17 points.
