CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News has learned that a teacher's aide is facing felony charges for robbery and we found her still in the classroom.

Latrecha Rice works with little kids but police say she got caught shoplifting and fought with store security.

Rice is an aide for the Cleveland Schools. She work at Almira Elementary at Brooklawn on the city's west side.

Rocky River police indicted Rice, after she was busted for shoplifting at a Marc's store.

Rice is accused of trying to steal underwear, frozen food and more.

The incident happened last month but the school district didn't know about it until 19 Action News called.

The district reportedly reassigned Rice because of her arrest.

So she's out of the classroom, on paid leave, until the district sees how the case plays out.
