CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A sleeping woman was shot after bullets ripped through her Cleveland home early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Alhambra Road.

The victim told police that she and her 5-year-old daughter were asleep when she realized she had been shot in the hip.

The woman was rushed to Metro for the bullet wound. The child was not injured.

A witness told police she heard two men talking outside. She noticed the men - who were both armed with handguns - near a Buick with tinted windows. The suspects then directed the driver of the Buick to drive away.

Multiple shots were then fired into the home.

There are no arrests at this time.
