Lorain County has 14 drunk driving arrests in 1 week

LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The Elyria Post of The Ohio State Highway Patrol made the following alcohol related arrests over the past seven days in Lorain County:

Hector Guzman Jr, 35, Florida - OVI

Brian A Tucker, 37, Columbia Station - OVI

Jason Gomez, 24, Lorain - OVI

William G. Nagel, 23, Amherst - OVI

John Merritt, 38, Berea - OVI

Juan C. Torres, 36, Lorain - OVI

Dawn M. Norris, 30, Elyria - OVI

Ronald Johnson Jr, 29, Elyria - OVI

Jerhonda J. Edward, 21, Elyria- OVI

John E. Harris, 29, Lorain - OVI

Joshua T. Grant, 21, Lorain - OVI

Terrance J. Whittaker, 19, Amherst - OVI

Andrew W. Ciszczon, 21, North Ridgeville - OVI

Monica C. Dean, 33, Lorain - OVI

This brings the year to date total alcohol related driving arrests to 28.

OVI = Operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination of them OVUAC = Operating a vehicle after underage alcohol consumption

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, in 2011, Alcohol impaired drivers were involved in 4.29% of all crashes, and 36.35% of all fatalities.
