Akron gunman arrested

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police arrest a man accused in a Friday night shooting. It happened just before 7:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of Nome Avenue in Akron.

The victim, Michael Holloway, 29, was shot in the chest following an argument with Curtis Charlton, 30.

Holloway was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Charlton was taken into custody near the intersection of North Hawkins and Copley Road.

Akron Police say Charlton is charged with felonious assault, aggravated burglary, having a weapon while under disability and discharging a firearm.

He is now booked into the Summit County Jail.
