Autopsy report: Jovan Belcher drunk in murder-suicideThe autopsy report released on Monday showed Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher was drunk when he shot his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins before killing himself.
The autopsy said he shot Perkins nine times, with wounds in her neck, chest, abdomen, hip, back, leg and hand, on December 1.
Police believe Belcher shot Perkins in their home, then drove to the team's facility where he killed himself in front of then-head coach Romeo Crennel.
Belcher's blood-alcohol level was .17, twice the legal limit of .08 in the state of Missouri. It was likely higher at the time of the shooting.
