Joe Banner says there is a frontrunner for GM jobCLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
After the announcing the new name of Cleveland Browns Stadium to FirstEnergy Stadium, home of the Cleveland Browns, team CEO Joe Banner met with the media about the general manager's job.
Banner said he has almost finished the first round of interviews for the position and a frontrunner has emerged, but declined to say who that was.
It could be Kansas City Chiefs Director of Pro Personnel Ray Farmer or the long rumored Mike Lombardi.
Farmer has interviewed with the team and might have talked with the Browns twice.
Lombardi reportedly has been involved with the team for the past few months.
Banner also said the job will have the title of General Manager not Director of Pro Personnel.
