NORTH OLMSTED, OH (WOIO) -

Officials with Westfield Great Northern, a 1.2 million+ square foot super regional shopping center located on the west side of the greater Cleveland area, announced the upcoming addition of a 10-screen Regal Cinemas, three new restaurants and a new main mall entrance, all set to debut this December.

The new movie theatre and adjacent restaurants, encompassing approximately 55,000 square feet and presently under construction, will occupy the former food court area between JCPenney and Sears.

An additional 6,000 square feet of space near Sears will be reconfigured to accommodate new retail. Following the opening of a brand new Dining Court and several family amenities in November 2011, the addition of a modern movie theatre in December 2013, along with fresh restaurant flavors, will cement the center as a compelling destination for shopping, dining and, now, entertainment.

An exciting line-up of new restaurants that are unique to the market is on the horizon, and Mama Fu's Asian House is the first of three restaurants to sign on. Offering Asian-inspired dishes that are chef-prepared and made-to-order, the restaurant will open shortly ahead of the cinema. Additional information is available at www.mamafus.com. More restaurants will be named later this year.

Plans for the project also include a grand new main mall entrance, which will be positioned at the corner of the southeast wing where the existing building meets Sears. Shoppers will enjoy the continued convenience of a large parking field outside the new entrance.

Alongside the cinema and restaurants project, Westfield Great Northern has announced it will open a relocated and expanded Forever 21 this Fall. The retailer, currently located near the Dining Court, will relocate to encompass 20,000 square feet of space adjacent to Cleveland's exclusive Disney Store. Celebrated by style-conscious and trend-savvy shoppers, Forever 21 is an ever-changing source for current fashions at great value. "Answering the community's request to bring movies back to the Great Northern retail district is rewarding," said Mike Walsh, the center's general manager. "We are dedicated to exceeding our customers' expectations and the new Regal Cinemas, coupled with restaurants that are unique to the area, will allow us to deliver the best shopping, dining and entertainment experience available to our shoppers."
