WESTLAKE, OH (WOIO) -

A woman has been indicted on a charge of patient abuse for making a mentally challenged woman at a group home stand outside in the cold.

A Cuyahoga County charge has just been filed against Tamika Love.

Westlake Police say Love worked at a group home on Westwood, and she made a 19-year-old stand outside with no coat for 45 minutes. Police say the worker did this to control the woman's behavior. It happened the afternoon of December 9.

Court records show the home's manager reported this to police, and police say the worker was fired.
