    Cleveland Police, Fire and EMS all responded to a call around 1:18 p.m. to find a 6-year-old girl suffering from a severely traumatic injury to the face and head.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police have identified the child who was shot and killed Saturday on E. 116th and arrested the girl's father.

Police say they have arrested Edmund Benson, 23 for child endangering and having weapons while under disability.  He has not been charged yet.

His daughter, 6-year-old Nevaeh Benson died Saturday at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital after suffering a serious injury to the face and head.

Saturday, police said it appeared that the girl may have suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face.

Police are still investigating.  No other information has been released.
