Cincinnati cold shelters open due to frigid temperatures

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

With temperatures expected to lower into the teens and single digits, cold shelters throughout Cincinnati will be open to help.

Over-the-Rhine's newest shelter, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Race Street, is now open. Thanks to financial contributions from the City of Cincinnati and charitable organizations like St. Vincent de Paul, the cold shelter will be open every night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. until the end of February.

In addition, the Drop Inn Center on W. 12th Street is also open to help those in need.

Anyone interested in making a donation can send checks made payable to the Drop Inn Center, with the memo "Warm Hearts," to 217 West 12th St., Cincinnati, OH 45202. You can also do so on their website.
