Cold weather doesn't stop outdoor workers

CLEVELAND, OH -

Temperatures hovered in the mid teens in downtown Cleveland, but that was not about to stop construction crews from putting in a day on the job.

At Cleveland State University, 19 Action News found a crew busy at the apartment complex going up on Chester Avenue.  Even with a wind chill that dipped into single digits, there wasn't much complaining. Dealing with the brutal conditions just part of the job.

"You live through them, I'd rather work out in them then be inside at a desk," one worker said.

The old saying is the show must go on, and at Playhouse Square, in the bitter cold, a crew was up on a lift changing the light bulbs. Workers there said that they were actually taking advantage of, what they said, were favorable conditions.

"Oh, absolutely, when there's two feet of snow out here, somebody's got to do it, and we're supposed to get a lot of snow this week apparently, so it makes it just a little easier to do it now."

And even if you were trying to have a little fun the cold made it difficult.  A group of about twenty people were huddled in front of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. They wanted to be the first in line to get in on the Rock Halls' free admission day.
