WICKLIFFE, OH (WOIO) -

Wickliffe police are looking for the suspect who robbed the Speedway Gas Station at knifepoint.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. at the gas station at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Lloyd Road.

The suspect appears to be a white man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the official NFL emblem on the back and the words "GRIDIRON CLASSIC" above and below the logo. The sweatshirt has a pale yellow or white two inch stripe down both arms, and unknown block letters on the chest.

The suspect also had on white or light tan pants, tennis shoes, dark gloves and a ski mask.

He used a large knife with a blade that appears to be about 8" in length. During the crime, he told the gas station attendant that he was a drug addict.

The suspect fled in a 1992 Dark Blue 2 door Chevy Blazer, with a red lift gate, red driver's door, and light blue passenger door. The Chevy Blazer had been stolen moments earlier from the Speedway Gas Station at Lakeshore Boulevard and Vine Street in Willowick.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Wickliffe Police Department at 440-943-1234.
