Kentucky man arrested in armed Akron carjacking, home burglary

A 54-year-old Kentucky man arrested in an armed carjacking in Akron.
It happened around 6 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of East Market Street.
Police tell 19 Action News Alton S. Dubrock got into a stopped but running vehicle with a passenger inside. He ordered the passenger to give directions on how to get onto the expressway and made the passenger ride along at gunpoint.
Dubrock let the passenger out at I-77 at V Odom Boulevard off-ramp. Dubrock ran out of gas at I-77 and Ghent Road, where he continued on foot.
Around 6:30 p.m, he burglarized an occupied home on Northshore Drive in Bath Township.
Around 7:45 p.m., Dubrock was apprehended by Bath Police hiding in a wooded area in the 4200 block of Big Spruce Drive.
Dubrock is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping.
