Cleveland (WOIO) - Kyrie Irving made another strong case for an All-Star spot on Tuesday night, throwing down a game-high 40 points as the Cavaliers opened their homestand by stunning the Boston Celtics, 95-90 at Quicken Loans Arena.
Irving got off to a torrid start, dropping 19 points in the first quarter, and closed it out just as strong, scoring 15 of the Cavs' final 21 points to hold off the Celtics.
The All-Star reserves will be announced on Thursday night. Irving, you have to believe, has once again made his case.
