It took several days, but the Cavaliers deal with Memphis is finally a done deal. On Tuesday Cleveland shipped Jon Leuer to the Grizzlies for Marreese Speights, Wayne Ellington, Josh Selby and a future first round pick. The deal was made to give Memphis around $6 million in salary cap relief.
The deal was in limbo for around 48 hours because of delays by the NBA in getting the final paper work to the Cavs. The trio of new players did not practice on Thursday because the team still had to make sure the deal would be approved. Word came down after practice that it had, but by then the new players had missed the work out. Because of that they will not play in Friday's home game against Milwaukee.
Selby has been assigned to the Canton Charge.
