Kent State senior left guard Josh Kline has been selected to play in the Texas vs. the Nation all-star game Saturday, February 2 at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas.

Since 2007, Texas vs. Nation has matched up top collegiate senior all-stars with ties to the state of Texas against top seniors from around the nation.

The 6-3, 310-pounder will be the first Kent State player ever to compete in the Texas vs. Nation game.

Kline earned All-Mid-American Conference Second Team honors this past season.  He helped the Golden Flashes produce a pair of 1,300-yard rushers (Trayion Durham, Dri Archer).  Prior to 2012, Kent State had never seen two rushers gain even 1,000 yards in the same season.

The offensive line also had a stretch of allowing just three sacks over eight games.  Kline has been training at Ignition in his hometown of Mason, Ohio in preparation for Kent State's Pro Day in March.

The Golden Flashes are coming off an unprecedented 11-win season, going 8-0 in Mid-American Conference play.
